RPG XV ACE RTP Needed to run!

Controls:
Z/Enter = OK/Select
X/Backspace = Decline/Back/Open Menu
Q/W = Switch between cast/targets while in a menu.
F5 = Change between window/full screen.
F12 = Reset
Shift: Run/Scan Foe when targeting them.

Added:
- 100% Redone maps and objectives
- Roomi is now Playable ( Selectively. Works only vs Slime/Black Orb. )
- TP Gains now carry over battle and no longer are random
- Rebalanced stats for foes, attacks, and Q-Bee's
- Beating the demo gives access towards a 'Testing Room' to let you play around


Notes:
- Roomi will more then likely need to be shifted into your team once gained. Once you get her, remember to access your menu and move her into one of the active 4 slots.
- Roomi only has status for Slime and Black Orbs, using her in any other battle type will lead to issues.
- Roomi's sprites are a bit small yes. We are still trying to find a good size for everything.

Hmmm, I'm stuck in the room after you get Roomi with all the orbed Q-Bees. Talked to all of them and checked all borders of the map...there doesn't appear to be anything else?

Hmm, is it a grassy area around with water?
Or is it the orb room still?

i have trying to get trough the fight with 3 slimes and 2 slime Q-bee for over 50+ fights now it would be nice if the att all move of the enemy's had allot less chance to hit all 4 or was just removed,
as between that and the almost constant miss/avoid that the enemy's get there is almost no way to win starting with practically no ES for all 4 Q-bee in the party.

of witch came from the fight with the latex Q-bees and for the same reason: the att all status effect and having to wait several turns after using the charge skill (witch kind of destroys the use of charge on it's own).

I got the same problem. I tried it more then 10 times and no luck. Every time i had at least one or two enemys down, the enemys just used their slime all skill and i had no more usable members. That is way to frustrating to play on.

I think the destination for the exit of the room you get Roomi in is pointing to the wrong destination. Just takes you to a room filled with passive Orb controlled bees.

Same issue of 50 fights in a row. Specials mean nothing when 3 of them spam affect everyone attacks and suddenly I can't fight anymore and 60-70% of my attacks when slightly slimed miss or are evaded.


Well I've gotten everyone's notes for now. Seems like I might have left the game harder then intended...^^;;

Admittily, I didn't have any issues on the testing wise, then again I was doing things like knocking foes down to just one, and then using defend and charge to max out my skill bars for later battles, so turn 1 is just burst and win...@w@;;;

...So the game ATM is more balanced around that tactic...I'll rework it a bit more in a day or two though as it shouldn't take 10+ battles to beat a single set up @w@;;;

I'll also look into the map issue, I think there's a few flaws in how I did that >w>;;;

Beat the slime encounter with only 2 random fights for charging up rather easily. I guess most people dislike using stuns or weren't aware that the points for using skills are carried over into the next Battle. But in this game the stun and burst combo is by far the strongest, while the rest is rather weak. Not sure how to balance it, since I really love this about the game as its different.
Feels like easy mode when you use the stun and want to get by and otherwise it's super hard. So whatever you like at the moment when it comes to fights you can do it.
And really a great demo thank you for that. (Even though I was like yay orbs ! wah tease !)

The Orb Room

For Everyone still having issues with the orb room, manually investigate the north wall. There is one portion that when manually checked that triggers the event to start the battle in the room and move on to the prize if you win.

Can't say if that is intentional or not from what I hear, but you can get to the end of the demo just fine if you find the spot, I admittedly went through three playthroughs assuming I did something wrong or a flag wasn't set before i stumbled upon it however in any case.

...YYYEEAAAHHH....That's suppose to be automatic, and it's suppose to cover a wide area on touch. I noticed the error in logic only a bit earlier today and done some fixing up, thought I think I still want a day or so to test balancing. The idea is that combat SHOULD be hard, and challenging, but the player should have options to make it more bearable if used smartly.

difficulty isn't that hard

Honestly i'm not sure why everyone is complaining about the difficulty. Yes it may take a few tries but it honestly isn't that hard. you have to save your sp attacks, and know which enemies to stun to help you last longer. I found all fights to be fairly easy just takes a while before you win. I like having the extra room at the end. Thank you for that.

Oppinions About the Difficulty

For what it is worth, just to throw my two cents into this. While I can understand some battles being difficult, for the most part I didn't find it that bad if you plan ahead.

As most have mentioned, if you take the time to charge up at the end of battles, particularly when down to your last opponent or if you've disabled them, you should not have too much trouble with the following scripted battles.

Having the ability to open up fights with specials from all your characters before the statuses start flying give you a major advantage, and I pretty much had to intentionally handicap myself to lose the first two forced battles if I ever had any sort of TP stacked on the party to alpha strike a fight.

I certainly wouldn't say the game is "Easy" however as it is still more than possible to randomly get bad luck no matter how well you prepare, and personally I think this is okay in the presumably intended vein of every fight being threatening.

Things do get much more dangerous, fairly so, if you don't plan ahead for the upcoming fights and keep your meters filled to some degree however.

I think it was fair enough of a challenge for a demo, and personally I had fun with it, thank you for putting so much work into getting this update out by the by. c:

Trouble downloading

Tried to download this by using the link, but it just leads me to a page that says its not found in the google docs. please help, i really want to play this. Also, I could only download the first version of project croc because it is doing the same thing. Definitely really want a couple links to download these two games. Hope to hear back soon, thanks

I have a mega upload link on my front page for Project QB. These older post admittedly of older updates are no longer working, and due towards how Dropbox did stuff, I no longer have those versions ether. Please give the newest post a reading and look see for the updated links! These are more from a long gone time! I might update older posts though to link towards the main post if needed!

I've fixed the links to now direct towards the real page to DL them. All of these links otherwise are dead, but the MEGA links should be working. I tested them myself on a few set ups, and it works just fine, so not too sure what the issue would be beyond you'r attempting to use these old-old dropbox links for some reason. But now they links are gone and replaced with links towards the first post with DL links...so huzzah! ='D
