Thank you. Thank you everyone for the insane support these last few days. I don't think there's been a day since I made that post were someone hasn't given kind and encouraging words towards some degree or another. It's been almost mind blowing on how many of you have come out and let me know how you've felt about my projects.
So, because no matter what,
we must move, starting next month,
I will start asking for donations towards the Paypal to assist in this ordeal. Chicago housing tends to always ask between 3-6 months rent in advance as a down deposit, and then on top of that, there's all of the Credit Checks and the like that we'll need to cover ( and NOT get the money back ether... ). Last time, we got over $2000, and we just made it all things accounted for. This time...I fear due to the rising rent, we might need more.
But, on matters not so grim or bad, after JP Post was informed of the hiccup, and they yelled to USPS to stop dragging their feet, MO2's package at last arrived, and what i holds is pretty dang swell!
First up is the physical copy of
Heroine Hunting that I assisted and helped worked on by translating it! This is chances are the ONLY physical copy of the game to be in the US!
Then he also sent a wide birth of food and snacks to enjoy! Just to run down a fair chunk of what's here: a TON of Miso Soup, an assortment of Yakisoba and Ramens, dried salmon, a LARGE amount of pickled seaweed ( and oh, is it PICKLED... ), a jelly made from yams, dried udon, some mints, and some gummi sushi kits.
And then the 'real' fun. Physical copy's of: Queens Blade Melona battle book, Ore no Fuyu 2013, The Magical Foxgirl Foxy Rena Combined Vol.1 ( Chapters 1-6 as a single book ), and Sanchu.
The total price for all of this, plus the shipping was rather expensive indeed, yet MO2 was UTTERLY kind enough to make sure I would get it no matter what, and I am BEYOND gleed to at last have all of this! =D
good to see something good's happened. I hope things are on an upward trend, truly. Regarding your living situation, is there any reason you're staying in the city? Surely the rent in the suburbs is much more reasonable, and public transport still exists out there, so even if you dont have a car, you can still get around to a degree. I only ask because it would probably be easier for you overall

We're in the city because the suburbs of Chicago ARE rather bad in earnest w/o a car. Bus has VERY long waiting times, and very small coverage at that. Add onto the fact the distance towards things like shopping locations and the like, and we would need to use taxi/cabs a TON more to transport food for the month around, or have to start shopping on a weekly basis and end up spending more in the long run anyway on transportation costs.
Chicago's transportation in the city, to be blunt, is chances are the best in any city, period. The buses run at the slowest every 30 minutes, and have almost entire coverage of the area at that. The trains also allow for more direct and rapid transit between major parts of the city. Given our time in Southern California, and my own in Tempe Arizona, it's been our best bet for getting towards all the stores we need to let us shop for the best deals on food and supply's, without having to resort to taxi's for each trip.
I lived in Boston for three years. It was, frankly, terrible. My experience there taught me that public transit just isn't worth solely relying on. What I ended up doing was finding a place that put me in walking distance of anything I needed on a regular basis. If you can walk to the store and back without too much trouble, you're not paying the extra travel cost for each small trip you make.
Not sure if that's an option for you, since I've never lived in Chicago. Is Chicago a place you need to stay, for work perhaps? I don't think I could ever live in a big city again, but I'm found of more in-between places such as southern Michigan.

Our current spot was pretty much that. The grocery store was a 4 block walk towards and back, with the dollar store 5 blocks. We could easily get most of what we needed from those two places alone, and for the rest of the food, a quick trip towards aldis would finish the job. We're hoping to find a similar set up as well, but it's hard. Problem is the suburbs of Chicago are rather spread out indeed, very little is close by residential areas. The only reason why we're still in Chicago though is because it would be more expensive to move elsewhere ( more less it would take AGES for our Voucher to clear towards the new state, it took over a year when we got forced out here from Cali ) and this is the only location family is located. We don't have the funds to buy a place outright, and if we did, we wouldn't be on Section 8 at that point, and a lot of the hassles we've got now wouldn't even be accountable. We've been living in big city's for our entire life though, and we've though about more country...but we just do not have the resources to live so spread out.
i dont know your resources but theres some places here for sale some for rent there was one i was at place was worn down but was right betewin a little ceasers a savealot/bigloats/famly dollar mini mart the rent wasnt too terrible only real probs were the place needed work done and the landlady is dodgy also really likes her pills place seems empty still the adress is 1315 armstrong place also i will list the number of a renter i know it will be in the next comment there an older cupple but there good people i live in portsmouth btw
also its frusterating how people dont list stuff online isnt it ps antother renter i know ask round here for dick spencer owner of d&s rentels pricey but the one were in now solid and good area
also few other places ive heard of ones called wayne hills its near some stores and theres farley square but eithers a option of last resort if theres an opening

But no, really, word of god is that I've been working on my projects. The biggest issue ( yet again ) is the scripts CP had given me to used are at the foundation, buggy. Sadly, when I started work on such, I didn't catch such issues and the like, I wasn't doing enough whim-wham to make them break I guess. Yet after progress on Tyamet chapter was nearing a near finished state, that's when it started to rear it's ugly head. I've been, for the last YEAR, passing CP's script around forums, different people who have offered to take a look at it, and doing as much as I can with my own limited skillset ( Jack-Of-All-Trades and all ), in hopes to iron out the scripts, so I can get this done and done. In turn...everyone I sent it towards can't figure out how to solve the issue ( though given how US scripters logic to causing F12 to break is 'Disable F12 all together'...I guess I can't expect great things from those circles... ) and I've been poking Japanese for alternatives ( That I've gotten access towards at least one rather recently if you check the logs, and I've been doing my best to understand so I can format it for my needs, thus far in my last few tests, it feels like it'll work...unless some new issue crops up! ). As it stands, Nothing is shelved, nor ended. I'm still at it, but RL ATM does make it kinda struggling to keep the overall stress low.
I'm going to figure though, if I don't get SOMETHING out here soon, /d/'s going to take my word as just huff and puff and nothing's really going on even if I'm showing that new artworks being made. In earnest I did that last post mostly as a 'I'll explain an erotic book fighting game and promote that because right now I highly doubt I could get something out within the next month or two'. People tend to forget my statement when I started this off, I never felt like I was the 'best' person for this job. I'm not a scripting master who knows Ruby inside and out, hell, I just barely pass as 'scrubby' at that. I am PRETTY sure if someone had the resources I had access towards, they would be a lot better working wise at getting everything done....Maybe one of the reasons why I still haven't gotten hired today, employers just 'pick up' on that lacking aspect of me? Though in turn, I'm the one who's networked thus far, and gotten everything to come towards a single spot, and I'm pretty much doing my best to get things to work and move and hoping nothing drastic breaks in the process. If that's not enough for the anon's out there, then all I can say is I'm sorry, but this is the reason why I'd rather NOT ask for money or donations or anything else, because I'm sure I would have ended up with even MORE anger and dejection if I have...

Lipucd, if the F12 issue are what's stopping a Tyamet release, I would strongly recommend you get in contact with Deva on the Hypnotics Collective forums, he as well as his partner Aggra found a bypass for the F12 crash that was occurring in their games, I have no doubt they would be willing to let you borrow the script they used to bypass the F12 crash as they both seem like really upstanding gents, it's not 100% guaranteed that it will work, but the crash message is identical to the one they had, so it's likely.

In earnest, I wish I had something, anything beyond mo2's work, that I've already shown off, to really give you guys. I've been struggling with an array of systems, and passing the scripts along to attempt to get fixed, because I at this point feel like I just can't crack the code, with No Joy in any department. MO2 sent me the care package due towards my work on Heroine Hunting, as that's about the only thing in the last year I've seem able to get done, but I guess perhaps talking and sharing about that might not have been the best move, more less perhaps promoting another project I've always had an interest in, and though I could pass others towards while waiting for me to get some traction at long last.
...It's stuff like this that have for the longest time had me keep my yap shut outside of the necessary. I already know how stuff like Project X and the like get hounded due towards their utterly long cycles of zero progress to report, and people getting fed up with it while they talk about other matters. I already had a large fear when I started this, that due towards my own skills, I might fall into the same pit as well. So I tried to make sure if I posted, it was only for updates towards the game, or keep the fc2 ads at bay. But people got antsy at that, I wasn't updating 'enough', I was quiet for far too long. In the end I guess it's a case of 'Damned if I do, Damned if I don't'. So I'm sorry for disappointing everyone.
